Dunkery Lodge offers comfortable country house style accommodation with first rate breakfasts! Our well-screened property is surrounded by trees, with views of the encircling hills, but it is only 5 mins walk to the amenities of Minehead. We have plenty of private parking for cars. Our rooms are large with seating areas and all the facilities you would expect. There are plenty of "coffee table" books to browse and novels to read and we have many maps and guidebooks for walking in the region and beyond.
Our Location - we are on the Townsend Road, 5 mins walk from the centre of Minehead. More details here
For Breakfast we always offer you a good selection of fresh fruit (e.g. mango, apple, pear, grapes, strawberries, kiwis), prunes & grapefruit and freshly squeezed orange juice. You can then choose from a wide range of morning meals, including salmon or haddock if that takes your fancy. Our parking is off-road and secure for cars and cycles alike. You can park your vehicle with us for the day and walk into the countryside from our porch. Evening meals are provided by request. Minehead also offers every kind of place to eat at lunchtimes and evenings, from cheap and cheerful to first rate restaurants. Just beyond Minehead (in Porlock, Dunster and Blue Anchor) there are many more excellent pubs, inns and restaurants.

The Exmoor National Park lies half in West Somerset, half in Devon. It offers walkers and tourers some of the finest unspoilt coast and country landscapes in Britain. Walkers staying with us delight in miles of attractive local paths and find challenges on the rugged South West Coast Path, which starts here in Minehead, or on the remote high moorlands between Dunkery Beacon and The Chains. All our visitors enjoy the attractive thatched, stone-built villages like Horner, sheltered in warm, green coombes and famous beauty spots like Porlock Weir, Tarr steps and Valley of the Rocks. There are at least 2000 miles of rights of way in our beautiful coast and countryside including the special access areas of The Exmoor National Park, The Brendon Hills and The Quantocks. Unsurprisingly, cycling, horse riding, golf, cross country touring and watersports are all also well catered for! Our guests tell us it is hard to find a better location in Britain from which to enjoy great countryside, yet still be within easy reach of where most visitors live (the South East and the Midlands) with access to excellent local amenities.
