What is more important than
communication?
Thanks for visiting. I assume you are here
because you want people to be attracted by your own products or services
and you are trying to decide on the best organisation to help you to do that.
Part of your decision-making process will be to assess what sort of acts your
potential suppliers have come up with to promote themselves. If one or
two of these appeal, you might just get in touch with them. The
key to attracting clients is the quality of your initial communication with them
and the key to keeping them is self-evidently the quality of your products or
service. My
concern is with the quality of our communications. Perhaps because we have so many delivery routes for
our information and we send out so much, its quality suffers and proper feedback
is not obtained or acted upon. More is certainly less in the case of poor
communication.
True communication takes place when there is
a transaction between a provider and receiver. Both parties are engaged and both
receive appropriate feedback. The transaction should possess both meaning and
quality and change the lives of the communicator and receiver (mostly in a small
way of course). It should be a pleasant and memorable
experience. This is what I term creative communication because it creates
a benefit for both parties. You could also call it effective
communication, but this does not carry the idea of a positive outcome so well. Please
take a look at my site and contact me if you feel that I could enhance your
communication!
